How to Help
There are many ways to help support the pantry. Find out more here,
Donating Food
Non-perishable food items are always appreciated! Donating food is easy:
At the Food Pantry on donation day: Mondays 9:30 - 11:30 am (Holiday schedule: donation day moves to Tuesday)
At the Food Pantry in the donation shed: 24/7 (Shed is unlocked and checked daily)
At Shaws. Bin is located outside the exit doors. You can drop off donations there (do not need to purchase items there)
At Market Basket. You can drop off donations there (do not need to purchase items there) - COMING SOON!
Regrettably we cannot accept expired items, so we ask that you check the expiration dates BEFORE donating. Thank you!!

Donating Money
Monetary donations are a huge help to the pantry.
We use these donations to purchase gift cards that we give to clients and to purchase weekly perishable goods like meat, poultry, cheese, butter and eggs.
If you would like to make a monetary donation you can send a check made payable to
Hanover Food Pantry, PO Box 493, Hanover, MA 02339
You can also leave a gift card or donation in our secure lock box located on the front steps of the building.
We also gratefully accept grocery gift cards to any local grocery store
(including Shaws, Stop n Shop and Market Basket).
Denominations of $10 and $20 are preferred as those are distributed directly to our clients.
